Investigating Electrostatic Force

Today we did a science experiment with balloons.  First we rubbed the balloon five times and 27 pieces of confetti stuck to it.  Second we rubbed it against felt and it collected 50 pieces of confetti.  The third time me and Jackson rubbed it a good 20 times and it collected 53 pieces pieces.  Finally we used a big big balloon and it collected 26 pieces.  My conclusion is if you make the balloon bigger it will collect less pieces.

Today we did an experiment using balloons.  First we rubbed a balloon on fabric 5 times.  There was a plate that had little pieces of paper on it.  The balloon picked up 5 pieces of paper.  Second we changed the fabric to a tissue.  Then we rubbed it 5 times, put it over paper confetti, and that time it picked up 10 pieces of paper.  After we rubbed it 10 times.  Then we put it over the paper.  That time it picked up 31 pieces of paper.  Next we made it bigger and put it over the paper.  That time it picked up 112 pieces.  We think that if the balloon is bigger it picks up more confetti.
