Circulatory and Respiratory Systems

To finish up our study of the circulatory and respiratory systems, students created life-size diagrams of their bodies.  They used various resources as well as their memories to remember how to draw the organs and other tissues that help us breath and circulate blood. 






Also as part of this unit, students documented an experiment where they performed some activity such as jogging in place to increase their breathing rate and their heart rate.  They had to measure their breathing rate and heart rate before and after the activity.  They also had to document the experiment by recording the data on a recording sheet and by filming different parts of the experiment.  Some students are creating movies of this footage using iMovie.
