Will it float?

These sixth graders studied density to learn why things float. They used this knowledge with an engineering task where they had to build a boat out of aluminum foil and accurately predict how many pennies it would hold. Here they are playing the "Will it float?" game with the entire school at school sing.

Shadow Puppets

The first graders are working on a combined science and literacy unit. They are practicing telling stories with shadow puppets. They are also going to be working with improving their puppets by adding cutouts and colors.

Helping K Math

These sixth graders are working with some kindergarteners on writing equations showing combinations equal to ten. They are getting ready to play a game where one person hides some chips behind their back and the others guess how many they hid.
