The Vernal Pool at BEEC

It was a beautiful day to visit the Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center.  We collected lots of interesting organisms.  My favorite was the fairy shrimp.  We also found tadpoles, newts, whirligig beetles, mosquito larvae, caddisfly larvae, water striders, and lots of from eggs.

Christina teaches us about vernal pools

Christina from BEEC came to our class today to teach us about vernal pools.  We'll be visiting the vernal pool next week.

Ancient Egyptian Movies

After researching and learning so much about ancient Egypt, we each wrote a narrative about the journey through the underworld and then made movies of parts of the stories.  Here they are at last!

Maddie's Last Day

Last Wednesday was Maddie's last day with us.  We gave her a gift to remember us by and had a little celebration to thank her for working with us this semester.
