Storytelling with Shadow Puppets

First graders are working on their story skills and incorporating words like "afterwards" and "at last" by performing shadow puppet shows. Here they are rehearsing:

The storytellers are not actually reading since the books have no words! They are telling the story that is told with the illustrations.
