4th Graders Design Soundproof Rooms

Fourth graders read about what sound is and how it travels. Then they planned and built a prototype of a soundproof room. They tested it by placing a sound-measuring device in the room while Elijah played his trumpet. (It was really loud!) They calculated the difference in the decibel level between the inside and the outside of their model room.
